In celebration of 2024, we thought we would share nationalapprenticeshipweekDale Gregory’s story.
Dale started his career with Gipping as an Apprentice in September 2012, completing an NVQ in carpentry. He progressed to Working Foreman before being promoted to his current role as Site Manager, based at our Ravenswood site in Ipswich. Dale has successfully completed other projects including the Old Tooks Bakery site in Ipswich where he was a key part of the management team.
Throughout his journey, Dale has continued his training and education, acquiring a long list of qualifications – recently added to by his achievement of NVQ level 6 – Construction Site Management (Construction) – Building and Civil Engineering.
Dale’s hard work was recognised when, in 2022, he won the SJCC Colin Harvey ‘Site Manager of the Year’ Award.
Dale says: ‘My plan was always to carry out an apprenticeship in construction. I have always had a love and interest of carpentry and joinery and I was lucky enough to be given an opportunity by Gipping Construction to fulfil this qualification. The thing I have learnt in construction is the opportunities are endless. I am incredibly exited for what the future holds and to see how far I can progress here at Gipping.’
Enthusiastic, dedicated, a valued team member with excellent communication and man-management skills, Dale is a great example of where an apprenticeship can lead.
