We are delighted to have recently secured an exciting new project: delivering two new extensions and a full refurbishment of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) – The Treehouse in Ipswich.
Since beginning this work, our team has been truly moved by the incredible care the staff provide to children, young people, and their families. Their dedication is remarkable, and the impact they make is life-changing, delivering vital support every day, which is why continued fundraising is so important.
To show our support for this amazing charity, we are hosting a charity golf day, with all proceeds going directly to EACH. Following the event, we will also be holding a charity auction to raise additional funds.
With all 18 places reserved, we have already raised over one third of our £10,000 target. There will be plenty more fundraising opportunities, including a raffle, hole sponsorship and other activities during the day, such as the ‘Impossible Putt’, ‘Nearest the Pin’ and ‘Longest Drive’.
If you would like to sponsor a hole (Minimum value £100; any amount above £100 is discretionary), contribute to an auction or raffle prize, or leave a donation, please visit our JustGiving Page via the QR code or the link below.
EACH provides care and support to children, young people and families, ensuring the best possible quality of life and making every moment count.
Its three hospices are happy, homely places for children to be children, as well as dependable, supportive and restful spaces for families. Care is also provided at home, hospital and the community.
EACH supports both bereaved and non-bereaved families, and its services include expert nursing care, short breaks, symptom management, family activities and events, physical therapies, wellbeing support, end of life care, bereavement support and practical help at home.
Over 700 children, young people and family members currently receive care and support, including around 180 at The Treehouse, which opened in 2011 and was officially opened by HRH The Princess of Wales in 2012. As well as bedrooms for children, the hospice has accommodation for families, a sensory room, music studio, play areas, sensory garden and specialist outdoor play equipment.
The expansion includes a larger hydrotherapy pool, a wellbeing and therapies suite, a bigger, separate care activity area, as well as a dedicated space for teenagers, an additional bedroom, and a larger kitchen and dining area.
EACH relies on voluntary donations for the majority of its income and every year needs to raise around £8 million from donations and fundraising, and £9.8 million in retail income. It only receives 15% of its income from the government.
