The weather looks great for our annual Cycling and BBQ Event this afternoon, jointly hosted with Ellisons Solicitors. It’s always a very well-supported event and a great opportunity to meet up with friends and associates at the fantastic The Freston Boot
This year, we are using the event to raise awareness and funds for Genesis Orwell Mencap‘s Ipswich-based Green Bike Project.
This brilliant project trains people with learning disabilities to refurbish bikes, helping them learn valuable skills while doing something amazing for the community.
Rob Hart, CEO of Orwell Mencap, will talk about the Project’s work and bring a selection of restored bikes, some worth hundreds of pounds.
If you have any unused bikes or cycling equipment, the project will gladly take them off your hands, or if you are looking to buy a bike, do give them a look – they have a large selection.
