Recent fine weather has allowed work at the Treehouse, part of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), to progress very nicely.
The initial dig-out for the basement area pile mat is almost complete; the installation of trench sheets to retain the ground under the existing foundations has been completed, and the import of crush and levelling has commenced to form a pile mat for CFA piling.
The grey crush pile at the top of the site is recycled from the demolition of the old building and will be reused around the site.
It’s hard to believe how quickly the new extension is taking shape on the ground, in just six weeks!
