It’s been all systems go at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, University of Cambridge, where our team has been busy setting up the site under perfect blue skies.
The project includes the removal of existing roof lights and green roof, together with all soil and insulation. We will subsequently construct a new curved rooflight and green roof, including insulation and seating.
An impressive scaffold ramp was designed and created by CJB Scaffolding Ltd to create access from the road area to the roof of the building, allowing mechanical plant to track up and down, reducing the risk of manual handling.
Gipping’s Site and Management team consists of Site Manager, Dale Gregory, Contract Manager, Steve Offord and Associate Commercial Director and Quantity Surveyor, Joe Butler, working with Cowper Griffith Architects LLP, Structural Engineers, Buro Happold and Quantity Surveyors, Gill Associates.
