We all know how nerve-wracking job interviews can be, so we were delighted to make our annual visit to Hadleigh High School, part of Penrose Learning Trust, to take part in a Mock Interview Day for Year 11’s.
Gipping’s Julian Davies MCIOB Associate Director, Construction, spent the Wednesday reviewing applications, interviewing and providing feedback on students to give them invaluable experience, knowledge and understanding of employers and how they operate.
The majority of students had never experienced anything like this so it was invaluable for them to meet a ‘real’ person from a local business with professional experience. The students were asked to dress appropriately rather than in school uniform.
The feedback was fantastic from both staff and the students, who rose to the challenge, gaining confidence and practical experience to take with them in their future careers.
