There was a great deal of excitement at Howard Community Academy in Bury St Edmunds last week as the Reception year children had a tour of the site, led by our Site Manager, Chris Crabtree.
The works are Phase Four of an overall refurbishment project for Anglian Learning Trust. With internal demolition works complete, there will be linking corridors, another classroom, toilets, and additional library facilities
The children’s enthusiasm was evident as they arrived in their PPE – hi-viz vests and head gear – a mix of firefighters, police, and of course, Bob the Builder hard hats!
The children took turns to sit in the Telehandler and even tried their hands at some basic construction methods using various play tools. It was wonderful to see them so excited and able to participate in the creation of their future learning environment.
