Phased refurbishment / remodelling of Bishop Woodford house, creating new classrooms, office space, medical centre and boarding accommodation at Kings School, Ely.

Works followed on from an asbestos removal programme to include new ceilings, fire doors, new mechanical and electrical installation, decoration and carpets, including new toilet facilities and new external pathways.

Processes and methods.

Refurbishment comprised strip out (following asbestos removal), structural alterations to existing structure , new ceilings, plastering, fire doors, full M & E refurbishment including fire alarm and security system, full re decoration and carpets, including forming new toilet facilities.

Externally new paths and ramps formed to give new level access into the building.

Environmental
As responsible contractors who are ISO14001 accredited, we completed environmental risk assessments, minimise waste and any waste is disposed of using licensed companies. Waste is sorted at the collection depot. Typically, 90% of waste is recycled.
