SIG Distribution Centre, Norwich

A £2 million pound office fit-out for SIG’s distribution centre in Norwich.

Works comprised lighting and fire alarms to the new warehouse areas (previously handed over and filled by the client), new office areas including a trade counter area, meeting rooms, offices, canteens, break-out areas, toilets and changing facilities including re-configuration of the exterior façade to provide additional glazed curtain walling.

The works included forming floors and partitions, full M & E installation, including comfortable ventilation, heating and cooling, glazed office and meeting rooms, floor coverings and vibrant colour schemes, along with infrastructure drainage and car park area.
The scheme also benefits from solar panels and car charging points.

Challenges and Constraints

There was a phased completion which meant that for part of the project, the site was live.

Environmental

As responsible contractors who are ISO14001 accredited, we completed environmental risk assessments, minimise waste and any waste is disposed of using licensed companies. Waste is sorted at the collection depot. Typically, 90% of waste is recycled.
