Challenges and Constraints
The scheme was coastal, and within a designated flood plain. The ground conditions and weather made for challenging times, especially as the timber frame was programmed to be constructed in winter months. This made craneage hard. Works had to be planned accordingly.
Construction Processes and Methods
Dwellings built to Flood risk design, with piled foundations, with masonry garages to the ground floor, with timber frames contemporary style dwellings above. Permeable paving parking areas and landscaped rear gardens.
