The project involved a refurbishment/remodeling and extension within a live sheltered housing unit which remained open throughout the project. Works included replacement windows, doors, cladding, roofline replacement, M&E works including heating upgrades and external works to create new car parking and communal garden space.

Construction Processes and Methods
Refurbishment comprised layout alterations, new communal fixtures and fittings. MEP works (including heating upgrade)
External works comprised replacement crate soakaway (to resolve historical standing surface water in car park), new surfacing, new footpaths and patios, soft landscaping
Extensions comprised, two small single storey extensions constructed in traditional cavity masonry with pitched roofs. The extensions created two additional flats
Façade work included replacement weatherboard cladding, replacement fascia, soffit and rainwater goods and replacement windows.
Environmental
As responsible contractors who are ISO14001 accredited, we completed environmental risk assessments, minimised waste and any waste was disposed of using licensed companies. Waste was sorted at the collection depot. Typically, 90% of waste is recycled.
Social Value
We had weekly liaison meetings with residents to keep them informed of programmed works
