Matt has thirty-five years of construction experience working for Main Contractors. Matt trained as an estimator but in previous employment the role also included quantity surveying which has given him both site and commercial experience of live projects, in addition to pre-contract knowledge.
Projects cover all sectors of the industry from new build, refurbishment, alterations, heritage in education, commercial, social and leisure and residential ranging in value from small works to £5m.
The split of occupied to vacant sites/buildings is equally split so Matt fully recognises the implications and different approach to each at tender stage in respect of buildability and cost.
Matt manages the pre-contract department overseeing tenders being prepared by other estimators. After handover to the delivery team upon award of contracts, Matt remains aware of on-site progress through our contract meetings and is on hand to provide assistance/support, should it be required.
