Steve James has 42 years of experience in the construction industry, starting his career as a carpenter. During his time with Gipping, Steve has completed a number of projects to a high standard with very positive feedback from our clients.

Forster Park Primary School, Lewisham. Value: £5,500,000
The erection of a temporary school within the existing schoolgrounds. Works included a new boiler room, structural supporting works for the removal of columns within the dining area.
St William of York Primary School, Lewisham. Value: £1m
The work involved the erection of steel frame to span an existing sports hall to carry a built of site extension of two classrooms, toilets and a kitchen with some refurbishment works to the existing school.
Rebecca Cheetham Nursery, Newham. Value: £1,200,000
A new single storey extension comprising of sports facilities, Classrooms, Atrium area and staffroom/kitchen.
Southwold House, Leigh on Sea. Value: £180,000
Phased alterations to bedrooms, flats and communal areas across the ground, first and second floors of a managed care facility for young adults. Internal alteration works
including removal of existing walls, construction of stud partitions to form new rooms and lobbies. Providing new fire doors, installation of new en-suite bathroom and kitchens, electrical and mechanical alterations, new flooring and decorations. All works were carried out allowing Southwold House to remain fully operational.
