Achieving quality is at the heart of everything we do at Gipping.
We strive for excellence in every aspect of every project.
All our team members and supply chain are asked to commit the same level of care as if the work were being carried out at their own home. Our measure of success is a simple question that we hope all our Clients and their professional team answer when asked “if you were to carry out the project again, would you like Gipping Construction to complete the work for you? YES!”
We are proud of our track record and the feedback we receive from Clients which reassures us we are succeeding in delivering high standards and frequently goes on to repeat business.
In addition to our ethos of delivering top quality, we are members of or hold certification with, the following independent organisations:
- ISO9001 (quality management)
- ISO 14001 (environmental management)
- ISO45001 (health and safety management)
- National Federation of Builders (NFB)
- NFB Heritage Mark
- CHAS
- Constructionline Gold
- Investors in People Gold
Although proud of our achievements, we strive to improve year-on-year. Construction work is challenging, and we acknowledge from time to time, snags and defects occur. We have aftercare systems in place to ensure we can efficiently deal with problems in a prompt and courteous manner with the minimum of disruption. This aftercare service reinforces our commitment to delivering the best quality; many of our Clients have remarked to us that it is this dedication that stands us apart and strengthens the already strong working relationship we had.
We devise a bespoke quality control plan for each Contract we are awarded. The plan is a working tool used by our management team and supply chain. It includes details of checks carried out at each step of the construction phase along with records to demonstrate checks and testing have been completed. The quality plan is in addition to statutory inspections and testing so provides a further level of reassurance, to us and our Clients, that work has been completed to the highest standard.
Our supply chain is an integral part of our business. We collaborate with, and support them as much as we can, but we demand absolute commitment to delivery of high standards in all they do in return. Our supply chain undergoes a rigorous process of approval prior to engagement for services. The approval process includes corporate checks, technical checks, resource and skills checks along with social and ethical trading checks.
We are multiple award winners, to list a few:
- RIBA Suffolk Craftsmanship Award, 2024 for Amento
- LABC Bricks Building Excellence, Regional Award, 2023, for Grimwade Street Flats
- LABC Bricks Site Recognition Award, 2023, for Ravenswood
- RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence, 2024, national finalist: Teachers Close, Needham Market
Our quality pledge goes beyond physical quality controls. We recognise how important the process of having construction work completed is. We want all our Clients to enjoy the project from start to finish, as well as long after we leave. So, our quality performance indicators also include feedback on teamwork, collaboration and communication.
We are committed to the highest quality standards, in everything we do, from ensuring safe systems and controls are rigorously followed, to staff welfare and continuous training. And ultimately, to delivering outstanding and award-winning work.
