Training

Since the incorporation of the company in 2004, Gipping has been committed to maximising the potential of our team. We achieved Investors in People status in our first year of trading and have been IIP Gold since 2018.

We have an intake of apprentices, both trade and management. Typically, one in five of the directly employed team are undergoing an apprenticeship or formal qualification (such as NVQ, degree, HNC).

We are also industry partners to local education establishments in the region providing support for work placements, mock interviews, site visits, school visits, briefings and lectures to further or higher education.

Education never stops

All our staff are encouraged to continue training to support their career which is financially supported by the company with time-off for course attendance provided. Site and office based staff receive training in health and safety, first aid and mental health issues such as suicide prevention as well as specialist certified courses particular to construction.

We are very proud of our Investors in People Gold Award, which we have held for the last six years. Our support of continuous training is one of the strengths of Gipping and recognised by our staff as a great benefit.

Every one of our directly employed staff members is featured on our About page with the full list of their qualifications and experience highlighted, together with projects they have worked on whilst employed at Gipping.
