“There is always an apprehension at the start of a project on how a team will gel but I can honestly say there hasn’t been a time over the past 2 years when anyone has been less than obliging. Nobody complained, whether upon demands for more work, or unexpected issues arising from external third party challenges, and not forgetting Covid. “The whole project from start to finish has been fantastic! Gipping Construction made everything virtually stress free, all Gipping employees worked with outstanding professionalism, Gipping’s site manager Steve James has been an absolute godsend. Communication has been brilliant, constant updates and well informed on progress, I did not think that the extension was going to be completed in time for the children’s return due the COVID 19, but Gipping pulled out all the stops for the new extension to be open for the children on time. Steve run the site from early morning until the last contractor had finished for the day and is a first class Site Manager. Personal thanks to Julian and Joe for all their hard work on overseeing site management. Phil the machine operator done a fantastic job working alongside Steve. The extension itself completed is an absolute masterpiece, the attention to detail is brilliant. As a housing association, it is necessary for you to work within complex environments, such as accommodation for the elderly and vulnerable. Gipping Construction are currently undertaking a remodelling project at an over 55’s accommodation scheme in Felixstowe in the sum of circa £1m. The contracts manager appointed to this project has worked with great empathy towards our customers, who all remain incumbent whilst the works proceed, which has made a significant positive contribution to the overall success of this project which is due to complete May 2019.

The scheme involved the extension and conversion of a redundant 30 bedroom KCC care home into a 66 bedroom dementia unit.
The Willows was an extremely challenging project and Gipping Construction completed the scheme to a very high standard. Gipping’s staff were very professional, organised and a pleasure to work with.”
“We employed Gipping Construction to act as the main contractor on a project at Southwold House, Leigh on Sea. We converted part of the property to provide a further 4 flats to enhance the care service we offer under Consensus Group. Southwold House specialises in residential support for people with learning disabilities and other associated complex needs.
The work conditions were extremely challenging with residents requiring 24 hour supervision. The Gipping site team were sensitive to all of the residents individual needs and worked alongside the Care Home Manager, covering the logistics of working in live corridors, bedrooms and communal areas every day.
We found Gipping to be good communicators, keeping both ourselves and the Care Home Manager up to date with the programme and work areas. No health and safety issues were compromised and Gipping completed the project to a good standard. Caring Homes would be happy to recommend them for work in a live NHS building.”

"I feel you should know how impressed our school was with the site foreman, Carl Taylor. Throughout the project Carl worked seamlessly with school staff, he was courteous, professional and polite to all members of our staff team and did his utmost to ensure that the project continued to proceed smoothly, even when the children were back on site. As a school, we have found in the past that it can present difficulties when a project has to proceed in a school setting with children present. Carl managed others who came to our site exceptionally well. There were one or two tricky situations, Carl immediately took the necessary action and I really appreciated the calm way in which he dealt with such situations. When problems arose he always found a solution, which was especially impressive. He has gone the extra mile, always with a smile on his face and the determination that the project would be delivered on time. He is a credit to your company and I wanted you to know how impressed with him we are."
